Q1, Sorted.
Don't take this year's marketing problems into next year.
Maybe you hit your goals this year. Maybe you didn't. Either way, you're heading towards Q1 with the same question:
What actually needs to happen next?
Not what should you post. Not whether you need another lead magnet. Not which funnel everyone on the internet suddenly seems to be building.
What are you selling? Who are you selling it to? Where are the opportunities coming from? And what needs to happen between someone finding you and actually paying you?
Over three months, we'll work out what's actually happening in your business, fix what's getting in the way, and build a clear revenue plan for Q1.
So when January arrives, you don't need another marketing resolution. You know what you're doing.
You have a business. It just doesn't feel as joined up as it should.
This is not a programme for figuring out whether you'd quite like to become a coach.
You have an offer.
People have paid you for it.
You have clients, previous clients, an audience, a network, or some combination of the above.
There's something here that works.
The problem is that you can't necessarily explain how it all fits together.
One month you're busy.
The next you're staring suspiciously at your pipeline.
Clients come through referrals, LinkedIn, your network, a webinar you ran once, someone who joined your email list 14 months ago.
You know you should probably be doing more marketing.
Except you're already doing quite a lot.
You don't need more things to do. You need to know which things are actually going to make you money.
Apply for Q1, Sorted. →More marketing isn't necessarily the answer.
I've worked inside enough coaching businesses to know how quickly the marketing cupboard fills up.
The course. The group programme. The 1:1 offer. The lead magnet. The email list you swear you're going to start emailing properly.
LinkedIn.
The podcast someone told you to launch.
The webinar you ran twice.
The half-built funnel.
The referral strategy that isn't really a strategy so much as hoping nice people remember you exist.
Individually, none of those things are necessarily wrong.
But put enough of them together without a clear route to revenue and you end up very busy without really knowing what's working.
That's what we're going to untangle.
First we diagnose. Then we fix.
I'm not going to give eight different coaching businesses the same seven-step marketing system and tell you all to implement it.
Your problem might be visibility. It might be your offer. It might be your positioning. It might be what happens after somebody discovers you.
It might be that you have plenty of attention and nowhere useful for it to go.
It might simply be that you're trying to do fourteen things when two would make you more money.
We find the problem before we prescribe the solution.
Diagnose
We get under the bonnet.
What's selling? What's not? Where does your revenue come from? How do people find you? What happens next? Where are opportunities getting stuck?
You'll start with an individual Revenue Diagnostic so I can get inside your business before we start trying to fix it.
By the end of October, you'll know what deserves your attention.Fix
Now we work on the gaps.
That could mean tightening your offer, sharpening the message, fixing your nurture, improving your route to enquiry, or building a more deliberate way to generate conversations.
Or finally killing the marketing activity that's been eating three hours a week and producing precisely sod all.
The goal isn't more marketing. It's marketing that leads somewhere.Build Q1
Then we turn it into numbers and actions.
What do you want Q1 to generate? What are you selling? How many clients does that require? How many opportunities do you need?
Where are those opportunities going to come from?
You'll leave with a 90-day Q1 Revenue Plan built around your actual business.Three months of getting the business underneath the coaching sorted.
Your individual Revenue Diagnostic
Before we begin, I'll review your positioning, offers, website, content, lead generation, email, nurture and route to sale.
Then we'll have a private 45-minute session to identify what's working, what's getting in the way and what we need to tackle during the programme.
Six live small-group sessions
Two sessions a month across October, November and December.
Part strategy. Part implementation. Part bringing the thing that's currently making you want to throw your laptop out of the window into the room so we can sort it out.
There are only eight businesses in the cohort.
This isn't 80 people sitting silently on Zoom while I teach a slide deck.
We're working on the businesses in the room.
Support between sessions
You'll have access to the group between calls for questions, feedback, troubleshooting and the inevitable "I tried the thing and THIS happened" moments.
Your Q1 Revenue Plan
By the end of December, you'll have a clear plan for January through March.
- Your revenue target
- Your core offer
- Your priority audience
- How you're creating opportunities
- How you're moving those opportunities towards a sale
- What you're actually doing each month
Not everything you could do. The things you're going to do.
Apply for Q1, Sorted. →Q1, Sorted. is for established coaches who have traction, but want more intention.
- You're already running a coaching business.
- You've sold your work and know people will pay for it.
- You have clients, previous clients, an audience or a network to work with.
- Revenue is more inconsistent than you'd like.
- Marketing happens in bursts.
- You have several possible ways to generate business and no clear idea which one deserves your attention.
- You have plenty of ideas. Possibly too many.
- You want someone commercially minded to get inside the business and work out what is actually wrong.
If you're still trying to decide what your coaching business is, this isn't the programme for you.
I've spent twenty years figuring out why people buy.
First in B2B sales, selling into complex accounts with long sales cycles and buyers who'd heard every pitch.
Then as a conversion copywriter, learning how to turn the reasons people buy into words that make them act.
Now I use both.
I get inside expert-led businesses and look at the whole route to revenue.
Your positioning. Your offers. Your messaging. Your marketing. Your nurture. Your sales journey.
Because the thing you think is wrong isn't always the thing that's actually costing you money.
Sometimes you do need more leads.
Sometimes you're sending perfectly good leads towards an offer nobody quite understands.
Sometimes you've got plenty of attention and nowhere useful for it to go.
Sometimes you're doing so much marketing you can't see which bit is working.
Diagnosis before prescription.
What happens when someone else gets inside the problem.
Don't wait until January to decide what you're doing in January.
Maybe you hit your goals this year.
Maybe you didn't.
The question now is what happens next.
Spend Q4 figuring that out.
Get clear on what's working. Fix what's leaking. Work out what you're selling and how you're going to sell it.
Then start Q1 with a 90-day revenue plan instead of another list of things you really ought to be doing.
